Records broken

Wednesday 28th 2014: Local time; 11.13am
Allan, "the marathon man" Pearson, has just broken his own record. Out of his own accord he wanted to go for a walk and managed to go twice as far as he did before. He is feeling a lot better and has become more positive about his recovery. The exercises do help.
Allan returning from his walk.
Meanwhile, Eric is a little stiff and tired. They replaced one of his dressings last night as there was a lot of blood seeping out. It turned out one of his staples had come out and opened the wound. The doctor guessed it could have been when Eric bent his leg from side to side, possibly in his sleep. Still nothing to worry about. The staff here are on the ball and we get a visit from the head honcho Dr Shah every morning. Although his entourage seems to be getting bigger and bigger. Rumour has it that we are a very popular room with the attendants and nurses, because we are always smiling. One nurse even calls Eric her grandfather (because he has no teeth now) and that reminds her of her own grandfather. Also, the real reason why I think we are popular with the attendants is because we are the one room that puts on IPL cricket on the TV and it's amazing how often they come in and check to see how we are doing.
The physio is just in and happy with progress being done. Eric is currently off down the corridor with Physio and attendant close at hand.
